Day 11: #Me too and the Re-Evolution

More of us are no longer going to tolerate harassment, assault or abuse.  We won’t keep quiet.  We won’t isolate.  Find SOMEONE to tell, anyone.  Don’t keep it inside.  If you’re a “me too,” remember, you are not alone.  We are with you, standing beside you, standing up for you.  Even when you feel you don’t have the strength to stand, lean on us, we’ll stand for you. We’ll listen, believe and stand with you as you find your way back to your true, empowered self, in your own time, in your own way.  But, you are not alone. Continue reading

Day 10: Desires and Waterfalls

Day 9: Fear, Guns and Fact Checking

Fear.  It’s a killer.  If the overdose of adrenaline doesn’t kill you, fear will kill you.  Kill your life, take away your joys and present day experiences.  Fear lives in the past and the future, not the present.  It replays the fearful incidents of the past or imagines the potential incidents of the future. It has power only if we feed it … images. Images of pain, suffering, violence. Fear in the moment can work to your advantage, it can provide adrenaline to help you run from a situation, defend yourself or give you super human strength. But fear of the past and the future, it hurts you over and over again. It’s shown to be really harmful to your immune system.  Continue reading
